Will They or Won't They Reviving Up

Every year around this time, underclassmen decide whether
to stay in college football or enter the NFL Draft. Oregon’s LaMichael James
announced he will return to school next season. The Heisman finalist up is
expected to start next season as the favorite to win the crown. That may not
turn into anything. Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel expects Terrelle
Pryor, Dan Herron, Mike Adams, Devier Posey and Solomon Thomas will all
return to the team next season. These five players will be suspended for the
first five games of next season by the NCAA.
Pryor hasn’t come out and said he’ll return for the Buckeyes. Tressel made
the announcement. Pryor is going to miss five important games. He would’ve
been an early Heisman candidate, but not by missing the first five games.
It’s going to be interesting to see how well the Buckeyes play out of the
gate. They’re only major non-conference opponent is traveling to South Beach
to take on the Miami (Fl) Hurricanes. They will also miss the first Big Ten
matchup against Michigan State. Pryor’s draft stock isn’t high. He wants to
be a quarterback in the NFL. He isn’t there yet. Another season in college
will allow scouts to get more film and make a judgement.
The one player every fan wants to see come out is Stanford quarterback
Andrew Luck. Carolina Panther’s fans are especially interested seeing their
team has the number one overall pick in Apriil’s draft. Luck’s coach at
Stanford, Jim Harbaugh, is a trendy name that will be mentioned for NFL
vacancies this offseason. He will also be considered for other jobs. If it’s
not Michigan, I don’t think Harbaugh’s leaving Stanford. It will only be for
a NFL head coaching position. Luck has scouts salivating about his potential
as a once in a decade talent like Peyton Manning. Luck can be a great NFL
QB, and the Panthers should be grateful to have him.
