Top Teams Add Players After Deadline:

The Miami Heat are looking for ways to become a better
team. They have two of the top players in Dwayne Wade and LeBron James.
Chris Bosh is a top forward in the league. Now, they’re on the verge of
adding veteran guard Mike Bibby. The Heat released Carlos Arroyo before
signing Bibby. Bibby gave up $6.2 million for next year when his contract
was bought out by the Washington Wizards. Mario Chalmers is the other point
guard used by the Heat.
Bibby will provide stability at the point, something Miami hasn’t had all
season. James and Wade do a good job running the point, but they are true
wing players. Bibby joins the team at a critical time of the season, the
Heat play Orlando Thursday, travel to San Antonio on Friday and host the
Chicago Bulls on Sunday. The team is loading up with veteran players with
the intention of winning a championship this year and over the next few
seasons.
The Boston Celtics also bolstered their roster, with the addition of
center.forward Troy Murphy. Murphy’s been buried on the bench of the New
Jersey Nets before being traded to the Golden State Warriors, then being
bought out. He chose the Celtics over the Heat. Murphy will play right away
with the trade of Kendrick Perkins and injuries to Jermaine O’Neal and Shaq
O’Neal. Teams in the hunt for a championship are bolstering their benches
for the march towards the playoffs. Both the Heat and Celtics are looking
for a championship. Murphy and Bibby will help their respective teams.
