This is how it’s suppose to go. You get the two most
coveted free agents during the offseason, resign your proven star and the
rest of the NBA quivers as you build a dynasty for the next dozen years or
so. The Miami Heat defeating the Milwaukee Bucks, 101-89 on Tuesday night.
It was their 19 win in the last 20 games. They’ve blown teams out, made
other teams look unfit to be on the same basketball court. The victory
against the Bucks was tougher than the previous ones, because the Heat
didn’t start to pull away until the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Miami was even losing towards the end of the third quarter. Heat superstar
Dwayne Wade scored 34 points in the victory. Prized free agent LeBron James
added 24 points, six rebounds and nine assists. The winning calmed Heat fans
that expected to see general manager Pat Riley back on the bench if Erik
Spoelestra didn’t get the team turned around. Well, he has and they’re the
best defensive team in the league.
They’re able to shut down the top players, including Kobe Bryant on
Christmas Day. James, Wade and Chris Bosh are playing like the best team in
the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs have the best record and are the other hot
NBA team. The two teams don’t play each other until the NBA Playoffs. If
James can make it back to the NBA Finals against the team that defeated him
the first time and Wade gets his shot at a second ring? That would truly be
great. Sleep well Heat fans, your team is showing that those three guys can
play together and win games.
