Teams Still Jostling for Playoff Spots:

NBA teams are clinching playoffs spots as there’s only a
couple of days left in the NBA season. This is all happening while the top
of each conference is still very much undecided. The New York Knicks will
return to the playoffs after winning 123-107 against the Cleveland
Cavaliers. It will be their first trip to the postseason since 2004. They
can go as far as the fifth seed, but they would have to win their remaining
six games with the Atlanta Hawks losing their last regular season contests.
The Western Conference is still unsettled at the bottom. Portland, Memphis
and New Orleans still haven’t clinched spots. The top hasn’t been decided
with only a handful of games left. The Chicago Bulls have a two and half
game lead over the Miami Heat and a three game lead over the Boston Celtics.
The San Antonio Spurs ended their six game losing streak Sunday. They hold a
two and half game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The first round potential is great. The Knicks, despite recent struggles,
could sneak up on teams if they play like a team instead of relying on
Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. The first round in the West shouldn't
be that hard for the top teams. All the teams are experienced and the talent
level at the bottom of the conference isn’t as good as the teams at the top.
