Sports Week in Review:

Is Augusta National becoming easier or are the golfer just that much better. There were 30 sub par rounds on day one of the Masters this year. Fred Couples led with a 6 under par 66 and Tiger had his best first round at the Masters with a 4 under 68. There was a lot to that. Couples putted well and was able to take a quality lead after day one, but it usually doesn't last.

It looks like Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter will take the lead into the weekend and play at the final pairing. This year's unpredictability makes for a great weekend of golf. Look for Woods to make a run and Mickelson should be in the hunt until Sunday. Woods will most likely be tied for third at 6 under, three strokes behind Westwood. Saturday looks like the day where the real contenders seem to come to the forefront. It's the day that Woods will most likely his move towards the final grouping on Sunday. That would really be something to see. CBS would love it and the ratings would showcase the start of Woods' redemption and another win in his quest to better Nicklaus' number of career Majors wins.

In other sports news, baseball should showcase two of the better teams play in Tampa, as the Rays host the New York Yankees. It should be a good test for both teams, the Yankees took two of three against the Red Sox to open the season. Seattle and Texas play each other in a showcase of two of the top contenders in the American League West. It should see how well the back end of Seattle's rotation fairs against a solid Rangers lineup.

Sunday provides a great day for sports fans. Orlando and Cleveland square off on ABC as LeBron James faces off against Dwight Howard in a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Finals. The second day showcases the Portland Trailblazers against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Brandon Roy should have a great game in the spotlight against the league's best player in Bryant. The final pairing usually tees off around 2 p.m., see which players will compete for the Green Jacket. Sunday night baseball showcase pits two National League Central powers as the Milwaukee Brewers host Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals. Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun present a problem for Chris Carpenter. Carpenter versus Randy Wolf should make it a fairly low scoring game, usually determined by each team's bullpens. Enjoy Sunday, it should be a great time in front of the television for all sports fans.
