Ohio State and Wisconsin Set For Classic Clash:

Beware the Wisconsin Badgers. During the college football
season, the Ohio State Buckeyes came into Madison as the number one ranked
team. The Badgers downed the Buckeyes, 31-16 on October 13. Ohio State
hasn’t won inside the Kohl Center in a decade. They’re trying to be the
first undefeated team since the 1975-76 Indiana team. The game will test
both teams because of Ohio State’s string of close Big Ten games and
Wisconsin’s ability to hold onto the ball and not turn over the ball.
Teams must take advantage of each possession in college basketball.
Wisconsin must stop freshman and player of the year candidate Jared
Sullinger. Sullinger plays well beyond his years, doing it all for the
Buckeyes. He’s averaging 18.0 points and 10.3 rebounds this season. Ohio
State also has a complete scoring arsenal, with Jon Diebler shooting from
the 3-point line. The Buckeyes also have the luxury of playing small, with
four guards on the floor or going big with Sullinger and Dallas Lauderdale.
The key to this matchup isn’t sexy. Sullinger’s going to fill the stat
sheet. It’s going to come down to free throws. The Buckeyes get to the line
more than any other team in the country. They must convert the free
opportunities. Wisconsin play smart basketball in the paint, take charges.
Most conferences games on the road are tough to win. Wisconsin does
something that Florida also did to Ohio State in 2006-07, defeat the number
one ranked team in two sports from the same school. It’s going to be a
close, great Saturday basketball game.
