It’s that time of the year. Time when businesses move like
glaciers and production slows Thursday and Friday. It’s NCAA bracket time
for the next two weekends as 68 teams have an equal chance at the NCAA
Basketball championships. The games begin on Tuesday in Dayton, with UAB and
Clemson playing. On Wednesday, USC and VCU play for the number 11 seed. It’s
the new format for the 68 team field. The last four at-large schools must
play their way into the tournament. It’s going to be some solid games to
start the tournament.
So, which team is going to win it all? Ohio State is the top overall seed in
the tournament. Their path to the Final Four isn’t that easy. They have
Syracuse, Kentucky and North Carolina vying for the East trip to Houston.
Reliant Stadium plays host the the final four games of the NCAA season. The
Buckeyes have the toughest journey. Pittsburgh might have the easiest path,
with the Florida Gators and St. Johns as possible threats to their Final
Four bid.
It’s tough to fill out a bracket without getting some upsets wrong. There’s
only one or two fully correct brackets and figure out the Cinderella team is
the toughest challenge. It’s the best time of the year because of the great
unknown heading into this weekend’s contests. Ohio State, Kansas and a few
other teams have a solid chance at winning the tournament. One team to watch
for, the Florida Gators are on a hot streak, playing well and Billy Donovan
knows how to win championships.
