Heat Hit Wall While Lakers Continue to Roll:

There’s no crying in sports, especially basketball. A
report came out that after Miami Heat’s 87-86 loss to the Chicago Bulls that
there were Heat players in the locker room in tears because of another tough
loss. Heat players not named Dwayne Wade, LeBron James or Chris Bosh only
scored 17 points against the Bulls. The Bulls beat the Heat all three times
this season. Miami has only beaten one team with a .700 winning percentage.
The Heat haven’t won close games this season. They’re just 1-18 in hitting
game winning shots. It’s a stark contrast when James and Wade played on
different teams. It was the Heat’s fourth straight loss.
James has some stellar buzzer beaters on his resume. He can make the
important shot, just not this season. The Heat are devastated because of the
losing. They were suppose to be the best of the NBA, defeating teams and
making the rest of the NBA look silly. It hasn’t been going that smoothly.
They’re defeating worse teams, but not the NBA’s elite. They’re win less
against the Celtics, Bulls, Mavericks and Spurs. They need to figure out how
to finish games, or it’s going to be a short playoff run for the Heat.
The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be okay. They’re 7-0 since the all star
break. They’re a veteran team that understands it’s time to turn up the
talent. They’ve got a some work to do to catch the Spurs for number one in
the West. It started on Sunday, they dismantled the Spurs, 99-83. Kobe
Bryant knows how to lead his team. They’re looking for their third
consecutive championship. It’s not going to be easy, but Sunday’s
performance shows they should still be considered title contenders.
