Dutch Make It to World Cup Final:

The Netherlands 3-2 victory over Uruguay to reach the World Cup Finals does a lot for this proud nation. It's reached the World Cup Final twice, losing both times. During World Cup tournaments, the team flirted with success, finishing fourth in 1998. This team seems to be changing perception in the country. They're winners now, with great strikers in Wesley Sneijder and solid veteran leadership in captain Giovanni Van Bronckhorst. He becomes the oldest player to score a goal for the Oranje.

They'll have to play better against either Spain or Germany if they want to win their first World Cup. They seemed to lax into a small stupor against Uruguay. Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg's poor footwork lead to a goal against Uruguay too. They'll have to be on their best game like they were when they defeated Brazil to reach this point. The German team seems poised to make the final. They have the history along with the fact they've made it this far with injuries to their best player, Michael Ballack, who isn't going to play a game in this tournament, to the fact their choice for number one goalkeeper didn't pan out for them. The revelation comes from striker Miro Klose, who only had three goals for Bayern Munich but four goals in four games for Germany this World Cup.

Spain poses an even bigger threat for the Dutch. They have a more complete team with the best striker in the tournament in David Villa. Spain will look to get over their loss to the U.S. in last year's Confederation Cup. They have a great team and Villa should have an impact in their game against Germany. It's going to be an all European final, proving that it's where the sport first took off that provides the best teams.
