Bulls Look To Add To Bench With McGrady:

The Chicago Bulls were thought to have a great chance of
signing LeBron James this offseason. They presented the best compliment of
players and Chris Bosh would join him in the Windy City to go after Jordan's
legacy. Well, we all know how that turned out. The Bulls were left in the
cold. They still have Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. Carlos Boozer signed
with Chicago, increasing their front court talent.
They're going to add some veteran bench talent later this week with the
addition of Tracy McGrady. There are many strong reports that McGrady will
sign with the Bulls as long as he shows how healthy he can be for this
upcoming season. McGrady brings a wealth of veteran leadership to the Bulls.
They need it. Rose will only get better. Rose has stated that McGrady was
his favorite player growing up. The Bulls showed interest in McGrady during
the 1997 draft and again when he reached free agency in 2000. It looks like
the Bulls will finally get their man. McGrady went out to Los Angeles to
work out for the Clippers. McGrady isn't looking for a large contract
either, he made $24 million dollars playing for the Rockets and Knicks last
season.
Miami will be the team to beat in the Eastern Conference next season. The
Cleveland Cavaliers become irrelevant with out James next season. The Bulls
seem to be more prepared to take on the Heat next season. McGrady will only
help. He just needs to prove he can stay healthy to come off the bench for
about 70 games next season. The Bulls will be a better team, with Boozer,
Noah, Rose and Luol Deng. The top teams continue to get better and the
talent cavern between the top teams and the bottom teams continues to widen.
McGrady, if healthy can help the Bulls win a few games next year. He could
also injury himself and become just another suit next to the bench.
