Showdown: There will be a rare northern California showdown
on Sunday. The Oakland Raiders will travel across the bay to take on
the San Francisco 49ers in a 4 p.m. est. start. The bay hasn't seen
a winning season in eight seasons. It looks like the trend will
continue this season. The 49ers are winless and the Raiders are sill
mired in futility. San Francisco hasn't gone this winless to start a
season since 1979, when they started the season 0-7. Jason Campbell
will get the start for the Raiders.

More Adversity Before Sunday's Game: Last year, Brett Favre
and the Minnesota Vikings were one game away from the Super Bowl. He
wanted to return so much because he thought this was the year the
Vikings would make it to the Super Bowl, win and Favre would ride
off into the sunset. It was a perfect movie scenario. He's quickly
learning that life isn't like the movies. The team limped out to a
1-4 start. He's also being investigated by the NFL for alleged lewd
photos he sent to a female sideline reporter while playing for the
Jets in 2008. Now is not the time to be Brett Favre.

The Steelers are the Real Deal: It's five weeks
into the NFL regular season and there's a ton of concern in Dallas
and Minnesota. Ben Roethlisberger is returning after the bye week
and the Pittsburgh Steelers could become a great dominant team with
Big Ben under center. Using a combination of Dennis Dixon, Byron
Leftwich and mostly Charlie Batch, the Steelers went 3-1 to start
the season. Joe Flacco led a game winning drive in week four is the
only blemish on the Steelers record.

your team can beat even the top teams in the league. It was proved
on Sunday as the Arizona Cardinals defeated the New Orleans Saints,
the New York Giants downed the Houston Texans and the Oakland
Raiders downed the San Diego Chargers. There was a myriad of reasons
why the favored team win, but mostly because they didn't perform

Gary Kubiak benched Arian Foster early in the game against the
Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Foster came in late and sparked the
Texans do a 31-24 defeat of the Raiders. He's the league's leading
rusher and provides much more than just ground yards. Andre Johnson
missed the game because of an injured ankle. His presence wasn't as
missed because of the talents of Foster. He makes the Texans more
than one dimensional, which is important to win in the NFL.

lines. It's a division game and Donovan McNabb returns to the place
where he played for 11 seasons. He's the most successful quarterback

championship games and one Super Bowl. He's often seen as the major

three weeks, but two early Super Bowl favorites earned their first
wins on Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings each won
for the first time. The Cowboys downed in state rival Houston, 27-13
behind an impressive balanced offense. The Vikings defeated the
Detroit Lions 24-10. It was much needed for both teams. Brett Favre
was really having second thoughts after starting the season 0-2. The
Cowboys don't have to face Jerry Jones after losing three games to

Texas, another chapter will be written on Sunday as the Houston
Texans host the Dallas Cowboys. Reliant Stadium will be rocking as
the Texans are looking to start the season 3-0. On the other side,

Dolphins are for real. They've won two games to open the season. The
Dolphins were expected to beat the lowly Buffalo Bills in week one.
It was the victory last week, against Brett Favre and the Minnesota

four turnovers against the Vikings last week. They have a great
defense. Karlos Dansby is a more important pick up this past
