The important bowls begin after Christmas Day. The intriguing ones
start around New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. It's no different
this season. The Rose Bowl, between TCU and Wisconsin has the
potential for an instant classic. It's the tough, physical Big Ten
style of football against the speed and flash of TCU. There's a
classic rivalry between two storied programs. The Sun Bowl pits
Miami (FL) against Notre Dame. It's not a BCS contest, but the
ratings will be impressive whenever ND takes the field.

old tradition is returning to Yankee Stadium on Saturday night. Army
will take on Notre Dame for the first time in New York since 1969.
I'm not old enough to remember when the rivalry was even relevant. I
do appreciate history and this rivalry was one of the fiercest in
all of college football up through the mid 1940s. It was so intense
that Army decided to end the series for a decade because of the hate
towards Army. The higher ups at Army decided that the torment
received from Notre Dame's fans was too much to bear. They also
thought it was beginning to overshadow the Army/Navy rivalry.

Boise State's Road Gets Easier after Upset Saturday: It
looks like the path for Boise State's road to the BCS National
Championship Game got a lot easier after Saturday's games. The Texas

attack, earning a 20-13 victory in Lincoln, Neb. The bigger shock
happened in Madison, WI later in the day. The 17th ranked Wisconsin
